Stories from a Life

It’s great fun to watch dreams come true. Two years ago I had a dream to write a book. The style of speaking I have always used is storytelling. So, I had a dream to write a book full of the stories I have told for years. It was a ton of work, a blast to do and a team effort, and now it is done. “Stories from a Life” was published at the beginning of this spring and it has been so much fun over this last two months to watch it begin to sell at the conferences we speak at. We have been so encouraged by the feedback from people who have read it. Because it is a book of stories, it seems to be appealing to teens as well as adults even though I wrote it with adults in mind. I’m hoping it will be an encouragement to Christians, and at the same time a guide for those who are seeking answers concerning love and acceptance from a gracious God.

This is some of the encouraging feedback I have gotten so far:

“While I was reading the chapter on friendship, I put down the book and called a precious friend I have had since childhood and told her how grateful I was for our relationship.”

“I would like to get some extra copies so I can give them away to my neighbors.”

“We would like to use the book in our small group at church.”

“The book really helped me to trust God with some areas of my life I was really struggling with.”

“This book is the best book to hit shelves since The Purpose Driven Life.”

Wait a minute. Chuck Swindoll told me that last comment in a dream, it never actually happened. Needless to say I have been greatly encouraged.

So, you may be asking yourself, “How do I get all this goodness in me?” Glad you asked. Go to our website www.brettray.com and select the STORE button, and there it is.

If you pick up a copy, I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

God bless you and thank you for all of your love and support.
